Women returners program 2022

Leaf is redefining the digital agency model of the 21st century through our end-to-end performance solutions for ambitious online retailers.

To achieve this, we’ve assembled a diverse, global team of industry-leading specialists to deliver unrivalled results and an unprecedented service experience.

Tech may be our core, but people are our heart.

So in conjunction with International Women’s Day this year, we participated in the Women Returners Program as a way to help #BreakTheBias and strive for a more gender-equal world.

“It’s vital that International Women’s Day delivers a legacy that lasts for beyond 24 hours once a year,” said Gabriella Parker, Head of People at Leaf.

“We need to create recruitment processes which enable people of all backgrounds to feel comfortable, inspired and motivated enough to apply. With this ethos in mind, we’ve already supported a number of women back into the workplace and into meaningful roles here at Leaf. The Women Returners Program is a fantastic initiative and felt like such a natural fit for us.”

The Women Returners Program – powered by Virtual Internships and Skills Development Scotland – is an employability programme for women, aged 25 and over, who have been out of the labour market for six months or more and want to restart their career journey.

We’re happy to share that we welcomed 9 interns under the Women Returners Program, all of which have recently completed their 3-week stint with us.

“Consulting on sustainability for Leaf has been a great experience. Sustainability is a really important aspect of Interior Design and has given me more insight on how to apply my research to my own business. I’ve loved working on the team project, especially refreshing my presenting and public speaking skills.” – Natalie Seivwright

“Working with Leaf was a tremendously valuable experience; consulting and presenting sustainable solutions for social and environmental impacts on a global scale. I have really appreciated working independently as well as working virtually with a fantastic team on a range of multimedia platforms. It was a delight to meet Gabriella and enriching to work with Leaf, a tech company that not only keeps up with the emerging technology but with emerging working culture and wants itself to be sustainable platform for its employees and clients alike.” – Sabina Philip

“Working with leaf has widened my horizon on understanding the corporate world, in an entirely new environment. I feel great!” – Fatihat Akanni
